The new workflow validated with Replit changed that dynamic. “We automated the process, defined logic and compliance criteria to each submission,” Patterson explained. “Beyond saving time, it enhances accuracy, consistency, and transparency—helping ensure every opportunity is evaluated against objective standards.”
Patterson’s team expects at least a day of time savings per review cycle.

“Before this tool, the evaluation process was entirely manual,” Patterson said. “Each submission required individual review by the legal team, often taking days to complete. This process was inefficient and left room for inconsistent interpretations.”

During the hackathon, Neal Curtis, Product Manager at Citeline, one of Norstella's brands, helped lead the team behind Citeline TrialMatch, an AI-powered platform that helps patients find clinical trials suited to their health profiles. “Replit helped us convey the full value of TrialMatch,” Curtis said.
