More than 50 million users around the globe now build apps on Replit. They’re not all engineers. They’re product managers, operators, founders, students, and small business owners, and increasingly, they’re shipping production software that runs real businesses.
This week, Google Cloud named Replit its 2026 AI Tooling Partner of the Year. We are thrilled to be honored in this way and are grateful to all of the builders that got us here.
This award is given to partners who helped customers leverage AI to achieve outstanding success through Google Cloud. For us, it’s a marker of how far the idea of democratizing software creation has traveled, from an audacious founding belief to a platform used by people across 85% of the Fortune 500.
“Google has been a foundational partner as we’ve scaled Replit into a platform that empowers first-time creators to teams inside the world’s largest companies,” said Michele Catasta, Replit President and Head of AI. “This award reflects the strength of what we’ve built together, and more importantly, what it’s made possible for the millions of people who now turn their ideas into working apps every day.”
“Google Cloud’s Partner Awards celebrate companies creating genuine impact through innovation and deep technical collaboration,” said [Google spokesperson TBD]. “Replit has expanded who can build software and raised the bar for what AI-powered developer tooling can look like, and the scale of that impact is apparent.”
The momentum behind the mission
Our founding vision has come a long way since the company stared ten years ago. Just last month, we announced that we raised $400 million at a $9 billion valuation, a 3x increase in just six months, backed by venture investors, strategic investors and cultural icons.
Kids are building apps for school projects and enterprises have teams running on Replit. Shaq created his own “ShaqGPT” app in less than an hour to answer sports questions in his voice. Teams at Databricks, ZIllow, PayPal, and Adobe are building apps that would previously have required months of engineering time. The Replit platform is working at scale, across industries, for people who never considered themselves builders.
Agent 4: a new model for building
This recognition arrives on the heels of the launch of Agent 4, our most capable version of our AI agent yet.
Agent 4 is built around one idea: you should spend your time creating, not coordinating. It is 10x faster than our Agent 3, runs multiple agents in parallel across a project, and brings design and development into the same environment for the first time. One person can now move from concept to a working web app, mobile app, slide deck, and launch assets, all inside a single Replit project, without switching tools or handing off to another team. Software creation has fundamentally changed, and so has the question of who gets to participate in it.
Google+Replit
Google has been a key part of how we’ve scaled into a platform that powers real workflows inside some of the world’s largest companies. The infrastructure, the ecosystem depth, and a shared belief that AI should be genuinely useful – not just technically impressive – have made a real difference to the teams building on Replit every day.
Replit is available on the Google Cloud Marketplace, where enterprise customers can purchase, deploy, and manage Replit's AI-powered development environment directly through Google Cloud infrastructure. The integration connects Replit with core Google Cloud services including Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, and BigQuery, giving enterprise teams a trusted, scalable foundation for AI-assisted software development.
We’re grateful for this recognition, and we’re even more energized about what comes next. When you expand who gets to build, you expand what gets built.
