I'm Jean (alias) and I'm new to coding. I really don't do much, but I'm using DBD.js to make Discord Bots. Any Potterhead/Swifties here?

I'm currently using a JSON database for my app, but when I'm offline the changes don't save. Is there a way to save them even when I'm offline? Also,

No. Try using the replit database instead and store your strings there for more persistent.1 year ago

No, I think Replit acts similar to a remote branch. You have to manually pull any commits you made on GitHub.1 year ago

Is it possible to code in replit via VS Code? Is it possible that you can add code in VS Code then push it to your repl, where it automatically runs a

It's called the replit database for a reason. Even if you got the REPLITDBURL, you suffer these consequences: the db URL refreshes every so often for security, and maintaining that is a pain. Try my JSON store db instead: https://replit.com/talk/share/Easy-Web-Database/1379621 year ago

Import the replitapi package and get your replit db URL by doing $REPLITDBURL in the shell. Then set that URL as the environment variable "REPLITDBURL" in your local system. You should now be able to use your database outside of replit!1 year ago

You need to start a web server in Node.js for this to work. Here's some boilerplate code: const app = require('express')(); const http = require('http').createServer(app): app.get('/',function(req,res){ res.sendFile(__dirname+'/index.html'); }); Running this code will load 'index.html' @ focus.jeanenchanted.repl.co2 years ago
