nice! i like the idea of how you layed it out! sorry about your friends though... but a suggestion, what I did was make my logs in txt files, and made it so that depending on your input, it opens the file name. but if you want to make it even easier to make new files, so that you don't have to hardcode each input, I would paginate the files. And, I know i haven't really been updating my logs, but its mostly because im working on utilities with other projects. most of them arent even mine lol.
