Welcome to repl/place 2023! A little bit of history to preface this:
In December of 2019, I created repl/place, where any Replit member could create anything with no bounds (https://url.bramleyas.com/place2019). It would be up to individual members to collaborate and coordinate. At the time, this was just an fun experiment and stress test of the then-newly introduced Multiplayer feature. 3 years later, it's time to revisit the concept.
Rules:
1.) Follow Replit Terms of Service
2.) Uhh, that's about it
I am excited to see what the newer Replit Community can build! A lot can change in 3 years...

Hello!

Pankak Hi,
One of the participants is using an old game for this jam, and adding some multiplayer components to it. They claimed you were okay with it, but this is rather unfair, as they've basically used a project they have been working on prior to the jam as a huge head start.
I'm wondering what your rules are with this, since the whole point of game jams is to make a game from scratch, not build on an existing project you've been working on for weeks.
Thanks!

RayhanADev @bramley are we allowed to stretch multiplayer to meaning that each person plays to contribute to a global goal (say for our game, we track the pumpkins a person clicks so a global/multiplayer mission would be total global pumpkins). I’m asking so that we have something to submit as a fallback, because we are trying to make a splitscreen but if that doesn’t work I want us to still have a submission.2 years ago
Disclaimer: Yes, I know the code is inefficient, no, I don't care. Also yes, I just reposted this because of the trending algorithm.

CodeLongAndPros ’m also sorry if the prizes are a bit lame. After all, the BJGJ doesn’t have funds like Repl.it.
