%s is only for strings char c,d,e you've got 3 chars try instead: char c[20]; char d[20]; char e[20]; and use scanf like so: scanf("%s", c); scanf("%s", d); scanf("%s", e); ampersand(&) is only for non-arrays like char, int, float but not char[], int[], float[] etc...3 years ago

Hello everyone, Actually I needed to clear the screen for my C code when re-executed. I included the stdlib.h header and used system("cls") as it work

You can print "\0330;0H\033[2J" to the console to clear it. This is an [ANSI escape code. The \033[ tells the console that an escape sequence comes next. 0;0H resets the cursor position and 2J actually clears the screen. >Please mark this as the answer if I solved your problem :)4 years ago

exit status 1 /tmp/ccwbVu7e.o: In function `main': main.c:(.text+0x0): multiple definition of `main' /tmp/ccBHSL8j.o:9.1.c:(.text+0x0): first defined

In your project, you have 2 .c files that each have a main() function. Replit compiles all c files together, which causes the "multiple definition of main" error. Separate the files and it should be fine.4 years ago

Well my guess would be that you've either got two files called main.c or have two main functions4 years ago
