In the beginning, there was synchronous code. One thing would happen, then another. The issue was when you had to communicate with other devices, or do things which take a long time. In the latter case, you have two options. Make the code wait for this task to complete, or use events. This was the original solution; you would start the task, and add a callback or event handler to handle the data once the task completed. The issue was (among others) that this created a situation known as "callbac2 years ago

Subdomains are not related to the server code, unfortunately. A domain resolves to an IP through a system known as DNS, therefore you would require two separate\* computers for two separate servers, as well as register the domain in DNS. TL;DR: no.2 years ago

How do you use Crosis? I've seen @PDanielY make a repl using it. How do you use Crosis to get repls and usernames? Any good tutorials? Language: Node.
HackermonDev
HackermonDev
Crosis isn't really for getting repls or getting information about user accounts. If that's all you want to do, you can use some other APIs developed by community users (repl-talk.js). Crosis is mostly about interacting with the repl, running code on a repl, editing a repl, etc. To first use it, you will need an API key, which you can get by contacting @turbio, then you can read the docs.2 years ago

Or at least a way to make an app using HTML? Computers don't understand HTML, they understand computer words and binary. Browsers make sense out of HTML, so to use HTML, you need something that parses HTML, such as a browser. The short answer here is "no." > I really want to make an app, please tell me a way. If you want to make a native application, you'll need to learn a language that compiles to native code. Thankfully, Repl has plenty of languages that do just that! Rust C++ C Java (n2 years ago

You have two main options to use HTML as a (graphical) desktop app: ElectronJS or a Progressive Web App, of which I highly suggest the latter. ElectronJS is a framework which lets you use Node as a backend and HTML, CSS and JS as a frontend to create desktop apps for MacOS, Windows, Linux, etc. The main issue with Electron is that your finished app contains the Chromium web browser, which is MASSIVE. Good tutorial Progressive Web Apps are this fairly new thing which lets you "install a webpage2 years ago

Most users cannot now if using the official graphql api. Most of the graphql api (if not all) has been blocked to all users unless whitelisted. It was public for a little bit, but they made it private because of abusers.2 years ago

Ok, I would show you how, but retronbv showed me why I can't. All I can say is I used https://repl.it/graphql. If you would like to tell me specifically what you want accomplished, I might give you what you want... btw, you could make a bot in bash and it would be quite easy2 years ago

You cannot code a talk bot, since they are banned from repl talk. If you would like to make one, they have to be whitelisted, but usually only bots made by mods are whitelisted. If you code it in another IDE such as VS Code and use the bot for fun such as only activating upon some command (such as pinging), then go for it, but if you leak the code or use it inappropriately then you will face consequences. Now the best way to do what you said is to start a server and make a crawler using someth2 years ago

DhaliaBonetti
DhaliaBonetti
What type of data do you want to store? What do you want your database to look like? As far as, I know the process of creating a database is quite complex. The first step should be lead data enrichment(https://www.globaldatabase.com/what-is-lead-enrichment). Afterward, you should think about how to structure all the information in the most comprehensive way possible. Otherwise, you tend to overload your database with information and figures.8 months ago
