    Hello, fellow replers!

I am looking to create a team for Project HackPod. This is basically a place where you share reliable snippets of code for people to use and copy. You can also ask questions and comment on these posts. Essentially, it will be a mix between stackoverflow, github and reddit, with different streams for different topics. I know how to do the frontend, but I'm not the best. And obviously, for a platform like this, you would need backend. Anyone who wants to join would be appreciated, and I hope to make this a fun experience for all. Only ten allowed in this team: (Team link)[https://replit.com/teams/join/upivjnbkryxvavokmvziujaxapfdydyq-hackpod]

Epsilon - A misson to stop fake news and misinformation.
This project is called Epsilon. I am looking for any kind of developer to create a posting site, in order to expunge and expose misinformation and fake news. This is an issue EVERYONE should be working against, as fake news leads to dangerous riots and protests, sometimes resulting in arrests and even death. An example of this is the 5G/COVID-19 myth, relevant to us today. Some believe that COVID-19 is caused by "the harmful radiation" from 5G mobile towers. Mobile towers have been burned down, disrupting everyday peace and functionality. It is just harmful, not helpful. The sun literally emits more radiation than 5G. We want to stop this harm from occurring, by making a posting site to share fake news and to expose its wrongness. Please help, as this is an urgent issue. Thanks for reading this far, fellow repler. To join, click this link: https://replit.com/teams/join/fbiqybdudwcelmhvnyycpyzzrkugculv-EPSIL0N.

@10101101011 Can you give me an example of the news lying and contorting the truth? 1 year ago

@SwellCoding Sure but it wont do much good, because you’ll just come back with some excuse they gave you for it. But anyway, with everything, they take things out of context to make make it look like somebody said or did something that they didn’t really do. Here’s an example: when they say things on the news and then quote someone else, they put it in their own words and then only say a small part of it with what the person of subject actually said. Here’s an example of of them contorting and exaggerating: January 6th. They made everyone look bad on tv, when it was just some people that did stupid things. 98% of the thousands of people that were there were protesting peacefully, but they only showed the few people that did bad things. But because the news wants a story AND the protesters didn’t conform with THEIR opinion, they tried to make them ALL look bad, and they did. And people believed them. Another example: When somebody is **accused** of a crime, the news is all over it like a bunch of leeches. But when that person is **proven** not guilty, the news is nowhere to be found. They just publicly humiliate the person, and disappear when they’re wrong. This has happened to many people. It’s happened to most who have been accused of the crime and then proven not guilty. Very rarely will they come out and say “Oh he’s not guilty any more”. They simply do not care about the lives of people that didn’t even do anything wrong. Only their stories. Yet another Example: Every time there is an incident, whether it is natural disaster, terrorist attack, or any crime, the news is all over it. Again, they are leeches that apparently have nothing better to do. They talk about the incident, and twist it as much as possible, to make it more interesting. Which makes sense, because they want the attention and money. **ANOTHER** example: When the news sold newspapers and they had paper boys and everything, they would literally make up their own stories. No, this is not a joke. They made up these stories, simply so they could sell more papers. You know that one story where there was a flight that took off and never landed? Then like 37 years later it landed? Sounds interesting, right? Well, that’s exactly what the news wants. It’s actually a fake story made up simply to sell more newspapers. If that’s not lying, I don’t know what is, because that is complete dishonesty. Well, I think I got my point across. Hopefully these examples were enough for you. Again, I wouldn’t be surprised if you figured out some way to try to support the news on these matters. 1 year ago

Shakespearean Insult Generator
Diss people and sound like a gentlemanly gigachad. I got this idea because of PixelRunner's strange threat generator. The JS is different though, it uses random.choice. Hope you like it.

ITV Christmas Screen
Basically the "This Christmas" screen for the British TV channel ITV. I used a css animation to make the snow image move. Hope you liked it. Previously, I had posted this same post but with the wrong repl so please don't scream at me.

Divs being squashed in a non-flexbox body HTML Question
I am making some templates for people to copy. These flexbox divs are being squashed vertically in the body, and this makes it look ugly. Please help!

@SwellCoding Your question isn't that clear; what do you want exactly? Do you want more spacing between each of the `div`s in the flexbox container? Do you want to align those `div`s horizontally? Or something else?1 year ago

@Bookie0 Sorry about it being unclear. I have solved it though. The divs had overflow: hidden so part of it was hidden.1 year ago

I think the time zones would be really simple: in your main loop, you can take the time and just add or subtract hours from it to get the other timezones.1 year ago
