Would it not be easier and more efficient to have a progressive brute force program? i.e. it would go throuh each arg as a 4 digit number , 1111 , 1112 , 1113 and so on , instead of having a randomized arg each time to prevent repetition?

Hello! as @Muffinlavania said, for loops are much more efficient than random guessing which means combinations can be repeated multiple times. This results in worse program times, so hopefully later you can add for loops and I expect reduce the time and guesses. Here's some math! 90 characters are possible for each. Meaning the possibilities are 90^4 if you dont know exponents that is 90\90\90\*90. That is a bigggg number (big! big! humongous!). However, if you use random choosing each time, it 2 years ago

hi! maybe you're not getting all the attention you want because not much people look at the new for the share board, mostly because it is clotted with spam. also, maybe your repls you make arnt really appealing/interesting to people? maybe thats why they dont want to come see them? try looking at the hot on the share board, and see what kind of repls people like; maybe games, animations, or something else. dont worry if your projects dont get much noticed; if youre happy with what you've done3 years ago

other have already notes the System.exit(0), but i would like to add that if you are terminating due to some error, to replace the 0 with another non-zero value (like 1). according to the java docs public static void exit(int status) Terminates the currently running Java Virtual Machine. The argument serves as a status code; by convention, a nonzero status code indicates abnormal termination. The call System.exit(n) is effectively equivalent to the call: Runtime.getRuntime().exit(n) `3 years ago
