About THE DRAGON

THE DRAGON started development nearly a year ago as a way to develop my C# skills (Hence the original name "A Thing To Do"). Eventually, it grew into a fiery passion, with me solely developing a massive encounter system, story, jokes, Easter Eggs, and more to come!

A Developed Text RPG!

Made entirely with the Microsoft Programming Language C# with the Mono Development Framework, THE DRAGON has many challenging encounters with unique enemies to beat! Even now, I'm currently implementing more into the system; setting my sights on status effects, balancing, and patterns.

Engaging Story!

The Player Character with a name of your choosing has set out into a Future France with one set goal: to defeat the elusive DRAGON. You have three ways to set about your journey (in order of increasing difficulty): The Forests, The Hills, and the story-driven Springs. Each has their own story to tell, and each will have its own finale when the game is done.

Active Development!

Even after months of development ― and some hiatuses to boot ― THE DRAGON is still under construction. New versions are released as forks, and any gripes or constructive criticism you may have about the game can be sent to the comments for me to read and use to improve the game. All Feedback is appreciated as well!

This post has linked the stable version of V0.1.8, which, unlike previous versions, allows you to quickly retry the current bit of the story which is automatically saved on predetermined checkpoints.
