This is low-effort, but I do like the idea a lot. The only thing I would change is change the syntax of the typing tests to not only be Python, but JS, TS, Java, C family, etc. I love the idea though!
I definitely thought 'type' meant something different! But nice CLI app :)

how do I start I'm confused everything I type is invalid input and when I click it doesnt send me anywhere

I love how the logo looks an awful lot like the monkeytype logo!
I like the "syntax highlighting" aspect too.
Typing fast enough you can actually cause it to freeze.

Hey! Maybe it would be an improvement to highlight the current letter/char in red or green, as the bar sometimes messed me up :/. Awesome job! Love the text styling, good job!

this might be hard to code but maybe try to allow for arrow key presses.
For example, when I'm writing print("Hello world"), I usually do this:
printprint()- Press the left arrow
print("")- Press the left arrow
print("hello world")
So yeah, it might be hard but allowing for arrow key presses may be useful.
seeing the graphs and stats is amazing! also, the cursors page is cool and adds a lot of customization :0 this is great

We all know that typing tests are a good idea but how do you make a good one? One way is to use Python Type. It's a beautiful-looking graphic that helps programmers understand their software better.
