How do you get out of a async .then() queue list?
I'm making a [text rpg?], and i made an async function write(), but to have everything after write() is called for the first time be in the order i want it to be in, i have to link .then() [i think]. Is there any other way to do it? [Because it's messy, and also i don't think ifs work in .then()] I searched online, only to find no results regarding my certain example.

You cannot modify .env variables programmatically. They are constants. In fact, they shouldn't even be modified at all in that way, they are meant to store API keys!! 1 year ago

replit db is for the server side. an HTML repl is all client-side so it's not possible. you need to use a nodejs repl and make a web server to do it. 2 years ago

woah, you cannot use replit database from client side, you have to do itr from the server side.2 years ago

Ok so for your first question, have you ever made discord bots and you know how you have to put the bot token in the .env file, id say do something similar. For your second I don't really know what you are saying but you can just do document.getElementById("buttonId").innerHTML = variable; 2 years ago

you need to do it like self.chickenlow if you want to store properties to the class. Like this: class AI: def init(self): self.chickenlow = randint(5, 30) def target(a, self): if a :(") else: self.fitness = a / -1 self.chickenlow += 3 * self.fitness print("Purchase done!") please, take some time to learn about classes fully.2 years ago

The pattern is just 1-10 then 1-A It counts 1-10, and then 1-A with A defaulting to ten and then having the first value added on to it, if that makes any sense2 years ago

When you press the "Run" button, Replit will run either a predefined command for that type of repl, or a custom command in a ".replit" file. In a Python repl, that command runs the file "main.py" with Python's interpreter. If you want to run the others, or do something else, you need to specify what that is in a ".replit" file. Create a file called ".replit", and put the following in it: run="echo Hello!" You can replace echo Hello! with the command(s) you want to run.2 years ago

WHY DOES f.write() NOT WORK :( PLZ HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
codeinpython/js/c++
Python
RYANTADIPARTHI

Solution don't use f.write() with code variable in it. f.write() works on it's own. So remove that, and do it the normal way. It should work2 years ago
SixBeeps
SixBeeps
write() actually appends data to the already existing file, so you don't need the code variable. This seemed to do the trick: from sys import exit from time import sleep print("Time to start coding! Say run to run. Say home to go back.") while True: f = open('tobewroteon.py', 'w') codeadd = input() if codeadd.lower() == "run": try: exec(open("tobewroteon.py").read()) except: print("Your code has an error.") elif codeadd.lower() == "home": f.close() exit() el2 years ago

Solution make a pygame repl. There is a separate pygame repl you can use. Try that, and it should work. Use the correct repls. Screenshot 2021-01-05 at 9.05.34 PM That should work2 years ago
Coder100

that's not a pygame repl. You must use a pygame repl, not python. This is just because of a setup issue. https://repl.it/l/pygame <-- click this and paste your code also click check mark2 years ago
