This is a Voxel-based game just like Minecraft. This game was taken from another abandoned game 2 years ago. Since then I have been trying to make it work, and I would love some help from the community to make it happen! The github has since been archived.
I will release the update once we get #1 Trending, its not too big, but its an update!
I boosted the repl so It is faster, and it is always online. It should not be lagging any longer.
Sheeeee graphics and hotbar and momentuem is EPIC (who cares if i spelt momentum wrong) but how do u get a server address to play multiplayer?
I added two new repls; one, as of right now, is #1 trending. One is a console platform with three games, and the other is a messaging system. I also added new things to this game; try and find them.
Really good! In my opinion this is the best minecraft replication here on replit!
I just wanna report a bug: if you move really fast and place blocks everywhere you can there is a chance for a one side of a block to appear glitched.
can u add a bedwars? if you can break blocks, you can make a new kind of entity with like the same properties as a normal block. and world generation is very limited
Make a pinned server called 'Live Server' at the server update This is what the server should be looked like:
|Live Server 1,000 players playing | |___________________________________|
Can you add send message button for mobile, not just placing 1 block, and more seed!!!!
Can you make us actually swim in water?
The water is just a transparent blue block.
Edit: nvm but I'm suggesting a little like Minecraft.
Okay so I think its good. But I do have a slight problem with the speed. This is a bit of an issue since its hard to precisionly land on blocks.
Guys tell me what would really engage you guys, so we can be at the top of the repl page once again!
I added a more prominent world slider; now, it can be 8,000 blocks or more, along with debugging settings that show your coordinates! I fixed a couple of corrupted blocks and selected the bricks.
Added a new logo, I think it looks AMAZING!!!!!
I have been playing with this concept in my mind for a while. I will probably use it in a game project of my own but its too cool not to share:
What if instead of blocks, each block was a point. It is either air or a type of block. You wrap a procedurally generated mesh around each point that isn't air depending on the type of block. When you break a block, simply replace it with air and update the chunk mesh (and the chunk next to it if you are on a border). Sort of the same process but backwards if you place a block. Although this would mean that the meshes would have to depend on a seed like the terrain so that the chunk doesnt randomise when you update it.
For performance you could have the chunk you are standing on and the 4 chunks around it be full LOD and have the LOD diminish with distance.
The trees could be a procedurally generated mesh of their own that get the point you chopped the tree at and everything above it will become a rigidbody and fall over. Water and lava could be fluid simulations for realism, and to replenish things like running rivers there could be a rain system that gets the lowest points of the terrain exposed to the sky and fill them up, all with a realistic rain effect (I love me a good rain effect in games).
To top it all off, procedural walking animations for npcs. drops mic
hmmm. its really good, but it should add survival elements, like taking damage, and longer time to break blocks, and start with nothing
are u able to make it where if you hold down right click it continuously places blocks?
so cool should create sequals that would be amazing . In a few years would be able to top minecraft
what if i helped you out on this and we can make it a real working version like update and things like that first we need to implement a survival game mode
