You can get the value of the die roll from calling the getDieTotal() function like this: console.log( Roll.getDieTotal() ); `2 years ago

You're getting NaN because you're adding 2 Objects (of RollDie) together. Whenever you add 2 incompatible types, you always get NaN, ie: Object (RollDie) + Object(RollDie) = NaN Map + Array = NaN try this: function rollOnce() { return Math.floor(Math.random() * 6) + 1; } // you can call this whenever you want function roll2Die() { return rollOnce() + rollOnce() } `2 years ago

Nice!, maybe a suggestion would be to center the elements by using: text-align: center; Just put that in your CSS and it should work!2 years ago

How do i stylize buttons in different ways...like when you hover over it with your mouse....
LordSpice
LordSpice
You will have to use CSS or JavaScript to stylize buttons. I think CSS is simpler though. To style a button in CSS, give it some class, say for example: colordbtn. Create a CSS file and write the following .colordbtn : hover { color: red } Check out W3Schools for more information. It is a very helpful site.2 years ago

Yeah, because it returns a string. You need to convert it into a number: let a = Number(prompt("num 1")); let b = Number(prompt("num 2")); alert(a + b); `2 years ago

There are a couple of problems with the code. The array access reversed: RandomCard[DeckOfCards] should be DeckOfCards[RandomCard] JavaScript doesn't know how to display complex objects so when you try to do that it just shows [object Object], you have to display the values you want individually. Instead of DeckOfCards[RandomCard] you should display DeckOfCards[RandomCard].Suit and DeckOfCards[RandomCard].Value It's a good idea to display to declare variables with the var keyword, if you don't 2 years ago

Here's how I would do it: First I'd make an array holding all the cards in the deck. Then I would create a function that gives me a random card from the list I put into it. I would then make a for loop that runs 26 times and gives a random card to the player, and then removes that card from the deck. Then give the rest of the cards to the computer. 2 years ago

Try something like this: Guess the number! Submit And then in the js let number = '1'; document.getElementById('sub').onclick = function() { let text_value = document.getElementById('number').value; if (text_value == number) { alert("You got it right!") } else { alert("Sorry, try again") } } that is pretty much what you want to do, but feel free to elaborate on it.2 years ago

Remove the while from the CheckNumbers function, and the two variables. function CheckNumbers(PlayerNum, PcNum) { if(PlayerNum!=PcNum) { alert("Incorrect Number. Please guess again"); GetPlayerNumber(); } else { alert("You Win"); } } In the GetPlayerNumber function, change the id and add .value. Solution you can, try using prompt. var person = prompt("what is your name?"); if (person == "bob") { console.log("Bob") } else { console.log("Not Bob") } like that. That should work2 years ago
