A clear path forward
My app URL changed after I republished—can I get my old subdomain back?
The old .replit.app address is not guaranteed after unpublishing and republishing, especially if you renamed the project. The subdomain is based on the project name.
To try to recover the old address:
- Check that the project has its original name, and rename it back if needed.
- Republish the project.
Replit cannot manually reassign a released subdomain. Use a custom domain for an address that stays the same across redeployments. See Project geography for related publishing details.
