A clear path forward
I updated my environment variables but my published app isn't picking them up—why?
Replit keeps development and production secrets in separate stores, so changing one does not update the other.
The development Secrets pane is only available in the editor, and a published app reads from deployment secrets.
To update a variable in a live app, set it in deployment secrets, then open Publishing and select Publish to push it live again.
The new values take effect when the new deployment starts.
