A clear path forward

How do I check a code change before sending it for review?

Try the changed behavior, read Agent's test results and inspect the proposed files before asking your team to review. A preview shows the app running; a diff shows which lines of code changed.

These checks answer different questions. A screenshot can show how a change looks, but it does not replace a test or code review.

  1. Open the preview, if one is available, and try the task you asked Agent to change.
  2. Read the tests, screenshots and skipped checks in the draft pull request, or PR.
  3. For supported linked pull requests, open Changes in the chat to inspect the request and file diffs. For GitLab merge requests, or requests the pane cannot display, open the request directly in your Git provider. Check the target repository and branch too.
  4. Ask Agent to address any mismatch between your request and the result before the final review.

For a non-visual change, ask for a focused test and inspect the diff instead of relying on a screenshot. If Changes cannot show the request or a full diff, use its Git provider link. A missing pane does not mean the branch or PR was deleted.

Still stuck? Try troubleshooting with Agent.

Copy this prompt and paste it into Agent. For a project issue, open the project where it happens first. Add what happened and anything you've already tried. Don't include passwords, API keys, database connection strings or payment-card details.

Copying does not open Agent or send a support request. Agent availability and usage depend on your account.
