A clear path forward

Does using Replit change where my app is hosted or how it is released?

Connecting an existing repository to Replit does not move where your live app is hosted. You can make and test changes in Replit, then use your team's review, merge and release process.

Agent works in a cloud sandbox, a separate place to run code. Its preview lets you try the proposed app before the change reaches production. A preview is not a deployed release.

The workflow creates a pull request on GitHub or a merge request on GitLab. Your team reviews the proposed code and decides what to merge and ship.

Keep your required checks and access rules in place. A sandbox does not remove the access you grant to code or connected services. Use suitable test data and credentials. Review the target repo and branch before your team releases a change.

Still stuck? Try troubleshooting with Agent.

Copy this prompt and paste it into Agent. For a project issue, open the project where it happens first. Add what happened and anything you've already tried. Don't include passwords, API keys, database connection strings or payment-card details.

Copying does not open Agent or send a support request. Agent availability and usage depend on your account.
