⚡ Voltage ⚡

Python compiler

Hello! And welcome to Voltage!

Voltage is a powerful python compiler built in Deno. It supercharges your python code to the latest and most modern version of python! Here's a sample:

In

Out

And you will have even faster python, from a simple program!

Installation

NOTE:

This is currently only tested on mac, and will probably not work on other computers. If you are not on mac and would still like voltage, clone the github repo, and then run make and move dist/voltage to your computers bin

Also if anyone is able to make voltage windows accessible, please do and submit a pr!

Anyway onto installation :)

Actual installation

You can download voltage from the releases tab in the github repo here. And then go into in your terminal and run the install file if you want it to be global. You can also run the remove file if you want to remove voltage if you have it installed globaly. If you accidentally removed the remove file, and you want to remove voltage, leave a Q&A discussion in the github repo and we'll help you out.

Usage

If this post does well enough, I'll post a small tutorial, otherwise just use the -h command

Conclusion

Thank you for using Voltage, this is just a sneek peak at the beta and jank version. There aren't to many features yet in the version that I have released, but I hope you like it and see the potential!

BAII

PS. AND YES: THIS IS BABEL FOR PYTHON SHUT UP I KNOW ONE OF YOU IS GOING TO ASK THAT

PSS. The GitHub repo is here

Suggestion: Convert f-strings to strings with plus signs for pre-3.6 versions of Python.

darkdarcool

@xfinnbar
Great idea! Can you leave it in the GitHub repo in an issue, and if you know how to add it, leave a pull request or example!

JustA6

@darkdarcool remember it always has to be converted to a string!

darkdarcool

@JustA6
It seems after testing it doesn’t make any delay, so now I don’t see the point

JustA6

@darkdarcool the point is that it will actually work as a f string

unless you were talking about this feature as a whole?

darkdarcool

@JustA6
The feature as a whole
