Nice, a few suggestions:

  • Make it fullscreen
  • Maybe mobile friendly?
  • More dot colors
  • Add a way to die >:D

@MrVoo thanks for the ideas!!

However, I don't know how to make a canvas game full screen. The canvas height is set to a certain width and height (in this case 400x400) and if I adjust that, then everything else gets messed up. Do you know of a way to fix this?

MrVoo

@STCollier What do you mean, messed up?

STCollier

@MrVoo objects such as the player and grid width and length are constants, meaning that I can't just change the whole width and length of the canvas because then everything would be out of proportion. E.g., the player is centered at 200,200 in the screen, but if I made the canvas bigger, the player would no longer be centered.

@STCollier What about this?

STCollier

@MrVoo ooh that's actually a good idea, however, I'd have to change a ton of numbers to that. I'll try it!

MrVoo

@STCollier You could set the canvas width and height to window.innerWidth and window.innerWidth respectively, because responsiveness is best :>

STCollier

@MrVoo thanks, all of this has been very helpful!! I'll see if I can make it full screen later :D

You might want to fix the hitbox for the player. It's square.

STCollier

@cdCreepArghhh lol I know but imao it's good enough for me and I'm too lazy to make it circular
