Is repl the best place to host this website?
anagroc

I'm surprising my dad with a website for his business, and im making it on here because this is where i learned coding (still very basic lol). Anyways, I already know not to make it on this acc because it has my dads info, but I was wondering if this was the best website to make it on. I'm going to use a freenom domain or something like that, just wanted to know if there was a better option.

no, replit is by far not the best. If you are going to have a ton of visitors, replit is not for you. If you want to share your project with friends, replit is for you.

Try heroku, the host replit uses
https://www.heroku.com/

np

mark as correct answer?

replit is still good for a starter website tho, and once you get the code down, you can move to heroku.

No, Replit isn't the ideal choice for a real business website. It is mainly for creating projects to be shared with the Replit community, or people you know. It is also focused on development, so if you have a lot of visitors, it might be very laggy. Also, freenom domains often can be flagged as suspicious, and Freenom can take away your domain without any warning or have it re-direct to a website with advertisements.

@CosmicBear
yeah i read something about it being bad, i just wanted a website type thing because hes been trying to get me to code for years now and i want a big surprise

CosmicBear

@anagroc in that case then i guess replit would be a good choice.

CosmicBear

but put the url of the website here https://ping.matdoes.dev/
