(find it in file.py)

uh even if you analysize it it wouldn't do us any good. Random data should show literally no correlation what so ever if it's a good randomized plot. Plus there's only one variable here. What are you trying to analyze? Frequency of numbers?

matthewcop (5)

@AdCharity, average of numbers over time, it will hone in on 500 over a long period of time

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop ok so do you need a program or something for this? You kind of gave your own analysis so idk if you still need help.

matthewcop (5)

@AdCharity, if possible, it takes days to analyse it using a spreadsheet

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop um you can even write a script/add all columns in a spread sheet. If possible, would it be fine if I wrote this in another language (if not I will try to write it in python). Also is it necessary to actually use a file? It's easier to deal with in arrays/lists.

matthewcop (5)

@AdCharity, not sure, you are clearly more experienced than me, what do you think

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop well i thought if this was for something like school and whatnot then you could have certain requirements. If not I can do averaging pretty easily with Node.js (I can translate to python but I kind of suck at it)

matthewcop (5)

@AdCharity, that's fine, use whatever you feel comfortable in

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop actually I can do this in python (just to confirm its just averaging all of those numbers right)

matthewcop (5)

@AdCharity , yes it would be good if you could also get the average at every power of ten (the average at 1, 10 , 100 , 1000 , 10000 , 100000 and 1000000

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop are you sure you don't want it every ten? (I'm just curious because you probably would have to wait a bit for the higher numbers)

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop uh so every ten or every tenth power

matthewcop (5)

@AdCharity , either whichever one you feel like doing

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop ok every tenth power is more difficult so I'll do that

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop https://repl.it/@AdCharity/random-number-data-analysis did both. Mode "ten" will print every ten, mode "power" will print every tenth power

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop :D you could probably add more stuff like user input to make it easier 4 yourself. Good luck with whatever your're doing and Happy Programming.

AdCharity (1328)

@matthewcop btw if you want the full decimal then just remove the "round" part with the two (basically means round to two decimal places)

Vandesm14 (2760)

What do you mean by "analyze" the data? What are you looking to get from it?

matthewcop (5)

@Vandesm14 just a graph about regression to the mean for a presentation
