[deleted]

@AdCharity it doesnt work? =(

AdCharity

@TaylorLiang just tried and it can’t read app (undefined). File a feedback report I guess and maybe the discord?

RowanFromBJC

@AdCharity No, it works.

RowanFromBJC

I got it to work
Proof: https://repl.it/@RowanFromBJC/happy-electron-app#main.sh
I'm still working on a way to package electron apps.

blaster202

npm i --save-dev electron-builder
then use
./node_modules/.bin/electron-builder .

@blaster202 Oh, awesome!

lostintheabyss

@blaster202 it just gives me the help information for the package, and doesn't actually build.

edit: i tried changing the command to ./node_modules/.bin/electron-builder build -l . and it just says that . is an unknown target. any help?

edit2: ./node_modules/.bin/electron-builder -l works

Coder100

Can't use electron sorry. Proof: https://repl.it/@Coder100/can-i-use-electron

HackermonDev

No, it doesn't work

AdCharity

Just to confirm this is Electron right? For desktop apps?

[deleted]

@AdCharity yes, for electron. I was tired at 10:00 pm, and I typed in express by accident

AdCharity

Does it work? Probably (since other frameworks work as well)

SixBeeps

I've definitely seen projects that use Electron. Isn't is a Node addon?

[deleted]

@SixBeeps Yes, but im wondering if I can create a working project on it using node

SixBeeps

@TaylorLiang I believe so. @AdCharity, do you know anything about Electron?

AdCharity

@SixBeeps Express is not Electron.

SixBeeps

@AdCharity Oh hecc you right

AdCharity

@SixBeeps idk which one Taylor wants but I'm assuming electron because he wants to make a working project but I'm not sure. I mean there's literally an Express repl option so I can't imagine he means Express :/
