A clear path forward

When do I need a Development Environment, and which one is Agent using?

You do not need a saved Development Environment for every chat. Use one when a task needs the same set of repos, tools or services each time.

A sandbox is the running place where Agent works. A saved environment is the setup used to prepare it. Saving that setup helps new chats start with the right tools and code, without doing the same work again.

To see what a chat uses, open its right sidebar and check the connected environments. Compare the name and purpose with the repo or task you asked Agent to work on.

If the wrong setup is selected, name the intended environment and task in your request. After a successful first run, ask Agent to save the working setup for reuse. Saving or rebuilding it does not update a sandbox that is already running.

Copy this prompt and paste it into Agent. For a project issue, open the project where it happens first. Add what happened and anything you've already tried. Don't include passwords, API keys, database connection strings or payment-card details.

Copying does not open Agent or send a support request. Agent availability and usage depend on your account.
