A clear path forward

Agent made changes I didn't want—how do I roll back?

You can undo unwanted changes by restoring a checkpoint, a saved point in your project's history.

Replit saves checkpoints while Agent works. Choose one from before the change you want to undo. For example, if Agent changed your homepage layout, choose a checkpoint from before that edit.

To restore that saved version:

  1. Open your project's Agent chat.
  2. Find the message immediately before the change you want to undo.
  3. Select the rollback option next to that message. Your project returns to that saved point.

For other recovery options, including individual files, open the Checkpoints and rollbacks guide.

Still stuck? Try troubleshooting with Agent.

Copy this prompt and paste it into Agent. For a project issue, open the project where it happens first. Add what happened and anything you've already tried. Don't include passwords, API keys, database connection strings or payment-card details.

Copying does not open Agent or send a support request. Agent availability and usage depend on your account.
