Hi! I'm a retired Math teacher, trying to teach this old dog new tricks. By old, I mean my preferred programming language is FORTRAN, followed by Pascal. I would like to learn Python, but its indentation rules drive me crazy! I have found that BBedit helps with indentation, but running python3 in a terminal window also drives me crazy. (I know, short trip) However, I want to learn it because I want to play with Sage. Any advice would be kewl and appreciated muchly!

Hey, it's cool that you're trying to keep up with modern programming! I will admit, I too think Python's indentation thing is weird. Have you tried Ruby before? It's a lot like Python without the whitespace stuff.
