Python Encryptor
firefoxmoo

This is an encryptor is very unlikely to be hacked, hard to crack the code. Use to send safe messages to people!

Since, there are values on what each letter is in keys.txt, wouldn't that mean that people that use your program can have their encrypted values easily decrypted? Don't take this too seriously, it's just a question

firefoxmoo

@adl212 I think that is possible but that wouldn't be likely because your 'key' is shuffling those values from every letter in your 'key', so they won't know what combination of those values you are using. They would have to go through every single character in your message and then find which value sequence would it be.
Don't worry, it wasn't taken too seriously :)

@firefoxmoo Ok, well this is a very complex encryptor!

Nice

Jakman

now this is well. Would you like for me to show you some C code that could make this a hundred times faster and easier?

firefoxmoo

@Jakman Haha yea I figured it would be a lot easier in some other language, but python was just the only one I really knew, since I had learned it from a Concurrent Enrollment class in High School.

StealthySniper

With single letter keys, this is just a monoalphabetic substitution cipher (with digits and symbols).

firefoxmoo

@StealthySniper I don't really know much about true encryptors or anything, it was just an idea I had and was able to create with my level of coding. I figure it works pretty well for simple fun use, not really meant for important encryption for businesses or something.

StealthySniper

@firefoxmoo Ok, it was just a slight note for anybody who actually wanted to use this to actually encrypt messages.
