Glitch Studios - A jam studios! - awesome poggers :0
An unofficial jam studios presented by @JBYT27
Made by @JBYT27, @ch1ck3n, @darkdarcool, and @RayhanADev
This is a studio presenting jams now and then. This was created with a template, which will be mentioned in the credits. It helped me a lot because I didn't know flask too much. I learned a lot, so yeah.
I/we don't need to contribute because all we have to do is post new posts. However, if we do need contributors, we'll let you know! Also, we posted some questions now and then, and @ch1ck3n and @Coder100 helped!
The code is from a template, then edited [tryhard] into this (lmao). Some features that were added are:
- Repl Auth
- Creating a post (only owners/mods when a jam is not currently happening.)
- Markdown in posting (special thanks to this for allowing us to use markdown for posting!)
- Different tabs in the navbar (posting, logging in, contributors)
One thing we haven't managed to do so is the favicon. If you could let us know, it would help us a lot! Thanks!
Credits goes to this website, it had this template along with CSS and functions, @ch1ck3n for helping me with some errors and repl auth, and @darkdarcool, they didn't know flask much, but they did help as much as they could! Same with @RayhanADev, but they knew a lot about requests and responses (js knowledge :o) so they helped too! :D
I hope you guys enjoy both the website and jam studios! It took us a pretty long time, so it would be appreciated if you gave feedback and commented! Thanks! BAIIII!!!
Yes. I know. I made a pings header. I just wanted to say sorry for all the useless pings, I just wanted to credit them because they helped a lot. Please don't think I'm trying to cycle farm, etc. Thanks!
@darkdarcool for the first jam it says that
The title really says it all, but the first official jam is making an animation. The theme is using JBloves27's and darkdarcool's ReplAPI Module. Just use python and the ReplAPI module. Easy (lmao). It begins on April 12(Monday), and ends on April 17(Friday).
How do you make a animation that has to use the REPLAPI module? They're different topics.
To add the favicon, enter this into base.html:
This means you can remove the favicon route thing on the server. Also, I recommend to choose a better favicon image, using text isn't an great idea.
(P.S. remember to restart the server after adding the code to see the changes)
@darkdarcool This is exactly what I did to add the favicon (i forked the repl):
- move the favicon to the static folder
- put this in the head of base.html:
- remove the following from app.py:
- restart the server and go to the page
If the favicon still doesn't show up, try putting this in the head of base.html instead:
If that still doesn't work, give me edit permissions and let me fix it for you.
If you have trust issues, then I guess the site won't have a favicon and all the work I did (20 minutes lol) would have been for nothing ;(
