Firefox web browser on repl.it
UniqueOstrich18 (331)

Got Firefox on repl.it when I was bored in class. It uses a python script to delete a useless log file. It will take a while to install Firefox and Python. It can also be used to visit blocked sites.

@chocolatejade42 if by amazing you mean laggy

@williham and constant tab crashes, but it's cool!

I moved your post from the Ask board to the Share board since Ask is for asking questions.

Wooooahh, that's great.
Have you tried visiting blocked sites?

@UniqueOstrich18 (331) Its not work look what it said
"SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print("Deleted nohup.out.")?
Makefile:6: recipe for target 'run' failed
make: *** [run] Error 1
exit status 2
 "

I have seen this before in python, but this is still so cool, unlike my python one this one dosent crash, which is pretty cool. I go to a school district where with their chromebooks, they go as far as to blocking reddit, so pretty cool.

doesn't work, the python stops and says syntaxError

Cool, I upvoted. Though you can run firefox in 1 line by opening a new bash file and putting in
firefox --no-sandbox
or in python you can do it in 2 lines by importing webbrowser:

import webbrowser
  webbrowser.get('firefox').open_new_tab('https://google.com')

There's a syntax error in line 5 in 'launch.py'. You need to put parentheses around the print statement.

Just wondering, where does it get the Firefox files from? I don't see the files in the code or any code to get it from the internet. (Note: I'm very new to repl.it)

YPD (1)

@Gurglemurgle123 firefox is actually already an app in repl.it. repl.it basically a docker container that has apps. Sorry I'm bad at explaining and I don't know much about docker containers.

It is a docker container. Do pkg-install is running apt get in background. Apt get is a linux command to install applications from linux distro's repository. @Gurglemurgle123
