A tool for networking remote serial devices

I had a need for some software that would allow me to connect to a serial (RS232) device remotely without being on the same LAN. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I made the clunkily titled 'dweet2ser'.

This uses the free Internet-of-Things API as an intermediary to connect remote devices. You can connect an arbitrary number of remote (or local) devices to the same serial port, or read from one remote device with an arbitrary number of computers.

I realize this is a pretty niche use case, but I thought I would share it here and see if it could be useful for someone else, or if anyone had some feedback.

I heard that the Internet of Things is very convenient and now this technology is used by all top companies. I have already contacted the guys from to introduce this technology into my business and the project is already under development. Soon I will also be able to appreciate all the benefits of working with the Internet of Things.
