A calculator like henryeth's
LegendaryWolf (632)

This silly idea again is given by my silly friend @CodingDoggo as usual.

Not as good as @henryeth's but still works fine... (sorry for the ping)

The one and only special thing about this is that u can use brackets. NO EXPONENTS, NO NOTHIN EXCEPT ADDITION, SUB, DIV, MULTIPLICATION.

LegendaryWolf (632)

Jesus Christ... I was working on making the best calc but...

LegendaryWolf (632)

I play it.

Jesus Christ I lied. don't tell this Flamin.. pls

LegendaryWolf (632)

wutev, what does Valdez mean?

FlaminHotValdez (437)

@LegendaryAlpha shun the non-percy jackson reader

FlaminHotValdez (437)

@LegendaryAlpha Oh...what about the heroes of olympus

BananaJellyfish (198)

Wait...leo valdez, right? The best character @FlaminHotValdez

FlaminHotValdez (437)

-_- This is what we call a low-effort post. At least TRY to do a calculator without leaning on eval().

LegendaryWolf (632)

I don't know why ppl think eval is evil for calculations

FlaminHotValdez (437)

@LegendaryAlpha Well it's just really low effort and kind of cheap. For example if somebody told you and your friend, "Go wash this pile of clothes. Fastest one gets twenty bucks." You start washing them by hand, then your friend lugs them over to the washing machine. How would you feel? Same concept here-we work hard on calculators, and then you just cheese it with eval().

LegendaryWolf (632)

today I realized that we can work with exponents(**), remainders(%), and I guess '//' also. also, we can turn a negative int into pos by abs(). Ok, eval is a low effort but, any other way for calculations?

FlaminHotValdez (437)

@LegendaryAlpha yes...look at henryeth's code, look at the my post that he linked.

FlaminHotValdez (437)

@LegendaryAlpha https://repl.it/talk/share/An-actual-good-calculator/118117 <- A calc that doesn't use eval, it's in c++ though. You should be able to understand the syntax is pretty selfexplanatory

shameless self promo

henryeth (180)

Bruh what even is this it uses the function that must not be named and thus is not legitimate competition.

LegendaryWolf (632)

This Calc sucks and the idea of a code like this is of [email protected] Ask him

FlaminHotValdez (437)

@henryeth lmao I started a bias against eval() and now all of repl hates it
