Repl.it Site-Wide Dark Theme

Do you like being blinded while browsing Repl.it?
Well me neither!

First, you might not have the editor dark theme enabled, so make sure you enable that.
1. Click the settings button at the left of the editor screen.
2. Find the theme dropdown, and select dark

Now that you have the editor dark theme enabled, we will enable the site-wide dark theme.
1. Download Tampermonkey for Chrome or Firefox
2. Choose a theme from the list of themes or create your own
3. Click the install button.
4. Upvote and post a comment on this tutorial. (100% required step)
5. Profit!

the screenshots in here may be a bit outdated since i dont update them every time i make a change

I cannot press the "install" button on tampermonkey after choosing the theme. :|

hey light mode is always better even on discord

well this doesn't work, now everytime I open replit I get like 1 second of the dark theme and changes back to white, how can I get rid of this, I already remove the extension but doesn'n work. I'm using firefox

Erm... It does not work... Did I do something wrong?

CBV (0)

The website changed domain, and it seems your Themes are not catching up in the new one. Any suggestions on how to achieve it now?

CodingMEJ (10)

@CBV Ya its not working for me either @mat1 anyway you could help us

GoldenWither (0)

@CBV Dark mode is still possible!

If you edit the Tampermonky code, you can use Find > Replace All to change every "repl.it" to "replit.com" and it will work! (For the most part)

elburg (42)

and now Tampermonkey isn't needed as there is an official dark theme now!
The only thing missing is a cactus theme!

AngelStarr (13)

I love dark theme but I will not install anything for it.
No tampering, no monkeys, nada.
It's a simple 2-line CSS.
Hello? Repl? make Dark?!? 2021!

I gotta say, 2 years later, when I go to this one post repl.it turns into dark mode instead of doing it in the editor, way to go repl.it

FlaminHotValdez (712)

Or use reflux. Now I have a beautiful blue theme. (Thanks @Whippingdot !)

Whippingdot (678)

u r welcome @FlaminHotValdez 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁(my fav emoji)

My God it worked. Thank you so much. It was so bright and bad with light mode. It's also kinda weird to see them bring dark theme only for the editor but not the whole environment. Hope they bring their built-in version soon just like yours ^_^

all I get is the invalid header.

XanderK20 (9)

Wow, I didn't even know they had a dark mode. Thank you though! This will certainly make coding easier on the eyes.

FlaminHotValdez (712)

How do you change it back from dark mode, just curious

objobj (2)

There were a few bugs but they got fixed if I enabled dark reader while using the theme lmao

ThatOneGuy1234 (4)

how do I make repl.it homepage dark mode too? If that's what tampermonkey is for, then is there any other way I can make the homepage dark?
