How to make a full discord bot (24/7 hosting INCLUDED!) PART I
h

Ok so many of you most likely have come from glitch.com because they released a rule where now they block 3rd party pings which keep our bot(s) up. So I'll jump right into it. First, you will:

Need to make an account for repl and uptimerobot.com. (use free version for uptime robot, it gives you 50 free monitors as well.

Second, now that you've signed up for repl go to your left side of your screen, look for the button "+ New Repl", select Node.js as your language and customize the name to your liking. Then create your repl. Once your repl is finished being created, delete every file and add 3 more files:

index.js
.env
server.js

Now once you have completed the making of those files, go to my github repo( https://github.com/Terminality/example-bot ), copy and paste (or type it yourself/ learn from it etc) the code from the same file into the same repl file, ex: copy/paste the code from my github repo file server.js into your server.js on your repl you've just made. Do that as well with the other 2 files. Now once you've finished that step start your repl and wait for the package manager ( npm ) to finish installing your packages.

This is the ending of part I which is setting the bot up, the next part ( part II ) will feature the rest like hosting your bot 24/7 with uptimerobot.com. Like this post if you wish and/or are interested in seeing part II.
