my windows command prompt has gone wacko...
isaiah08 (80)

in a tutorial i was reading, you install cx freeze like this:
pip install --upgrade cx_Freeze
then you run this:
cxfreeze -c --target-dir dist
it's supposed to change the .py to .exe. Instead, it gives me an error and says that cxfreeze is not recognized as a ...
This also doesn't work for pyinstaller, and probably other things that i haven't tested yet. Has the world teamed up against me, or is my command prompt going wacko? (I work on a windows.)

if it is not recognized, that means it isnt installing globally. Try installing the program globally and see if that works

@isaiah08 wait, apparently pip installs globally by default, nvm. sorry

@isaiah08 Try one of these two commands:

  • python -m pip install --upgrade cx_Freeze
  • python3 -m pip install --upgrade cx_Freeze
