Will Node be updated soon for repl.it?
Purpzie

The current version on repl.it is 10.17.0, while the current LTS version for Node is 12.14.1 (and the absolute current version is 13.6.0). There are features missing from 10.17.0 that I was planning to use. :( It's completely understandable if it'll be a while, but it would be awesome if it could be updated soon.

I made this repl to manually update node. Just fork the repl to use the latest version of node.

@Vandesm14 Oh my goodness, thank you so much!

@Vandesm14 it's not there anymore...

@CrazyVideoGamez I removed it as it no longer worked.

Another solution I found (posted on other posts too, I will copy and paste my answers there):
Actually, you can change the node version. Here I'm going to use nvm. My script for installing it and setting it up is right here:

This will install the lts version, but you can change that to be a different version (using nvm install 14.15.4 if you want 14.15.4, and then running nvm use 14.15.4 to use the 14.15.4 version). By the way, this is assuming the code is contained in use_nvm.sh (so the echo at the end is correct). To run the code (again assuming it is stored in use_nvm.sh), just run bash use_nvm.sh
Note: You must run this every time you reopen the repo.
By the way, you can also go to my repo here https://repl.it/@CrazyVideoGamez/Update-Node-Script#update_node.sh, and fork it.

You can run npx [email protected], or you could try npm install [email protected] though I haven't tried that out.
