Why the temporary storage has been reduced from 100 GB to 1.2 GB?

I wanted to archive twitch streams with repl.it since deepnote doesn't allows me to do so, so I'm very disappointed that the temporary storage is reduced to 1.2 GB meaning that I need to move on to google colab to archive twitch streams, can you revert back from 1.2 GB to 100 GB temporary storage or I will move on to google colab. i can't live without archiving twitch streams, please!

@ZenEmulator is trying use the Internet Archive to store Twitch streams, and is uploading these streams to Repl.it, where they end up being stored. Is this against TOS for Internet Archive? @Coder100 @CodeLongAndPros

ZenEmulator (1)

@tussiez No, it isn't against TOS for Internet Archive since it already stores like 29915 twitch streams on internet archive for everyone to watch them again whenever it's lost on twitch but saved forever on internet archive. https://archive.org/details/twitchstreams?sort=titleSorter

If you have 5 bucks a month you can get a VPS on linode, but if it's temporary, split it and compress/transfer offsite

ZenEmulator (1)

@CodeLongAndPros Unfortunately, linode doesn't has windows plans so not worth it for buying it unless they allow free trial for debit card instead of credit card.

CodeLongAndPros (1591)

@ZenEmulator why do you need windows? Replit is linux

Because of the increasing amount of users using the service, they are going to have to decrease the amount of storage they give you.

Why in the world do you want to use REPLIT to ARCHIVE your streams? What in the world do you know how unreliable that is

Why don't you do this locally smh

ZenEmulator (1)

@Coder100

"Why don't you do this locally smh"

Because, the repl.it upload internet speed is more than 100 to 250 times faster than my internet.

Coder100 (17011)

@ZenEmulator well you still will get your stream will you not

I don't think you should be storing large files on Repl.it, as this is not a storage service. You should store these files on your home computer, and serve them to Repl.it if you need to, or look into other options.

@tussiez

storing large files on Repl.it, as this is not a storage service.

Nope, that's wrong response, I upload a twitch stream downloaded in repl.it to internet archive then delete it from repl.it, this way, it makes it so easier.

@ZenEmulator Uhh, this is kind of cheating, and wasting space on the Internet Archive. Why don't you host somewhere else?
