What's this and what does it do?

In my website repl there is a file called .replit

What is it and why and how did it get into my repl.

You can learn more about the .replit file in the documentation.

It's essentially used for letting Replit know some stuff about the Repl, such as the language, what the run button does, etc. Usually this file is hidden, but you can get it to appear by enabling "show config files" in the files pane.

I would suggest keeping it in there, as it doesn't really do any harm. If you don't want to see it, you can just hide the config files again.

.replit files are basically files that are used to configure the run button. It can be used if your file name is not the same as what repl uses to run a file. you can delete it if your main file is index.html

It's just replit boilerplate code, similar to the poetry packages that are automatically imported when using python

@figglediggle So........ I can delete it?
