I dunno. I know several languages and use them for different purposes.
I guess I will say JavaScript cuz it has about

1 trillion

Libraries and you can make open-source libs very very fast.

Also, I like it cuz the syntax is super simple, I have been using it for 10 months and I fully understand it. The best thing about JavaScript is that you can make anything you like. It is used for the front end and back end.

figglediggle (140)

Brainfuck is pretty cool

JaydenSavarinat (14)

@DanielGreynold1 You're right! It is, but also pretty hard and complex to learn in my opinion.

OldWizard209 (1102)

Just pointing out....

HTML is not a programming language, it is a markup language. Because it is used for making webpages and doesn't have conditional statements unlike programming languages.

@FloCal35 @JacobMcPherson1 @RhinoRunner @JaydenSavarinat

Sorry for da pings tho

Anyways, don't take it too seriously, I was just pointing it out....

JaydenSavarinat (14)

@OldWizard209 Yeah, I know, but some people still consider it a language. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

xxpertHacker (861)

@JaydenSavarinat It is a language, just... not a programming language.

xxpertHacker (861)

@OldWizard209 HTML isn't a programming language, but, at least we can all agree that CSS is.

OldWizard209 (1102)

yup css and js are used to add functionality to HTML .... @xxpertHacker

xxpertHacker (861)

@OldWizard209 I was hoping to get CSS out of the browser, but... I never got around to it.

I got a small team and we started with Node.css, but then one of 'em left Repl, and has been offline for a month.

JakeHu2020 (21)

to me, javascript is the best :)

maxina (46)

In my opinion:
Python
Javascript/html/css/other web stuff
C

Best in general:
Python
Javascript/html/css/other web stuff
C++
Go

JULIODIAZ1 (46)

I feel like python will be everyones answer because its literally the easiest language to learn + its simpler than html.

CSharpIsGud (925)

@JULIODIAZ1 The only reason its considered the easiest language is because it blew up in popularity. There's not really anything in python that makes it easier, it might have some features that make certain things convenient, but otherwise you still have to understand the same basic concepts as other similar languages.

LuckyOreos (200)

Python because you can make text games and I know it’s weird but I just get it way more than I get HTML

xxpertHacker (861)

(not a programming language) XML, the structured markup language with control flow.

https://buttons.xxperthacker.repl.co/loop.xml (check the source, it's not HTML, CSS, or JS, but it's a real loop :) )

That, or Bash, the simple scripting language for old Linux shells that just loads native code.

SpicedSpices (297)

My favorite is Rust because of its speed and safety, but I use Node.JS the most because of its versatility and how you can create many more things.

BrandonBailey3 (5)

python is decent for starting but c or C++ is ok to go with in the long run.

FloCal35 (497)

LOLCODE because no words needed

HTML at close second

LingWu1 (88)

My favorite is Python bcuz It´s easy.
I also like Java and Js even thought I don rly code it

RhinoRunner (799)

I like python, because you can get a lot more done in less time. HTML is in close second, and I like to use them together with Flask.

JaydenSavarinat (14)

@RhinoRunner Python is also one of my favorites! Nice choice!

SixBeeps (5062)

Although it isn't necessarily my first language, C# was one of my first. Today, it serves as my go-to language for a lot of ideas I have, even if .NET isn't on here yet.
