Hi mods, feel free to take this down if you think this shouldn't be here
Anyways, I really need some mental support. I have been feeling depressed lately because I haven't been able to talk to any friends for the past 3.5 months.
No discord, no games, and I could only use replit because I'm learning to code.
I just need some support to help me from being depressed
The pandemic has affected a lot of people negatively and it's perfectly normal to feel this way. Humans are social creatures so staying in social isolation is not easy. Learning to code is pretty fun and a useful tool for your future but forcing yourself to code is a pretty efficient way of making you hate coding. Instead, take a different approach, join discord servers for coding and connect with people with the same passion. Have fun in your journey and don't force yourself to code by avoiding things you enjoy, it's ok to play a game every once in a while, everything in moderation of course. Wish you the best of luck in your adventure.
If you feel overwhelmed and just need someone to talk to just send an email to [email protected] , there are people there willing to help 24/7 and definitely shoot a message to me as well though I do warn you I'm not much of a therapist.
I understand if you're stuck at home 24/7 and have nothing to do, same for me too, but you just need to know what you like. For example, you can just go outside and go for a run, what I do every day!
Do something you like, I can teach you some Python or Pygame or something you like! Python is actually quite useful and simple. If you are interested in learning it, I can teach you the basics or you can go look at a Python Tutorial. If you are interested in learning Pygame, I made a tutorial on that too!
theres always 24/7 hotlines that you can call to get support from a professional. this website isn't the ideal place to talk about these things though. figure out new methods you can talk to your friends with or make new friends.
