I have a few ideas for you-
Book-based Trivia quiz's
A game based on the book(Like Harry Potter-Hogwarts story)
Or maybe if you just want to read the book-
A Coded E-Book

The Rangers Apprentice or the Brotherband Chronicles.
Those are my favorite books.

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@tankerguy1917 AHHH.... I haven't read that many books, only well known ones, like Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, etc.

tankerguy1917 (178)

@maxyang Then Percy Jackson. I like those ones a lot. Read almost all of them.

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@tankerguy1917 Ok! Which book, and from which character's perspective? Also judging from your responses, I take you're in either Pacific or Mountains time, right?

tankerguy1917 (178)

@maxyang The Lightning Thief, from Luk'es perspective, and I'm on pacific time

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@tankerguy1917 OMG, great idea! probably one of the best! I was considering something more along the lines of Titan's Curse, Annabeth's perspective, but luke's in lightning thief is even better. BTW i'm in pacific too, gtg soon

tankerguy1917 (178)

@maxyang K. I just read some of the other comment, I hat Harry Potter too. :P

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@tankerguy1917 LOL. The real grudge I have about Harry Potter is that he's a big shot and most of the books in the series are really boring. Harry went to Potions class and Snape got mad. Harry went to DADA and got detention. Harry went to the common room and talked with Sirius. blah, blah, blah.

tankerguy1917 (178)

@maxyang Yeah. I really don't like it because of how much I hear about it. Like the movies, I've watched them so much and now I just hate them, and the books are to long and hard to read.

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@tankerguy1917 My point exactly. I remember all through my 5th grade, my entire class was in an all-out war argueing between Harry Potty and Percy Jackson(sorry).

tankerguy1917 (178)

@maxyang I grew out of Percy Jackson a while ago. Speaking of Percy Jackson, have you Read the Kane Chronicles. Its in the same universe as Percy Jackson, and is by the same guy.

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@tankerguy1917 I read all of Rick Riordan's books except for Tres Navarre.

tankerguy1917 (178)

@maxyang I'm a little behind. I've only read up to the first two Magnus Chase books. Whats Tres Navarre

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@tankerguy1917 One of Rick Riordan's adult novel series. WHEN IS MAGNUS CHASE 4 COMING OUT

Coder100 (18181)

how about...
maze runner
best book(s) 10/10

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@Coder100 I was planning to read the maze runner sometime soon, I haven't read it yet unfortunately :( It's a good book I've heard but I'm 99.9% sure the series is a pentalogy, and all the books are fairly long individually too.

Well, what language will you be using? like Python = text rpg
While JS could mean 3d (threejs) or an HTML5 game.
also c/c#/c++ but that would mean making a 3d engine from scratch lmao [well, if you're using repl and not godot or unity]

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@pepelaugh Probably a text rpg with python. I don't really know that much html, css, js(including vanilla). Maybe C++ though, but I mostly use that for problems, not games.

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@pepelaugh Also, this thing was posted like a minute before you replied, this is insanity :O

badst (240)

@maxyang lol, call me fast. Uhh how bout you try a classic game where you pick a class and adventure out, starting from the bottom?

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@pepelaugh Ye, I was thinking of basing it off of a book tho. what book do you want?

badst (240)

@maxyang Hm... I almost only read informational books, only fictional ones I remember reading were Harry Potter and The Hunger Games... also LOTR, that was a great series.

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@pepelaugh alright great...lol, I've never read LOTR tho, maybe I'll try making a RPG out of Hunger Games(I always hated Harry Potter xd)!

badst (240)

@maxyang Yes, you don't have to make your choice based on me. And also you should read LOTR, if not might as well watch the movie bc it's filmed pretty well. and bc you'll have to for high school i think.

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@pepelaugh Yea I read the hobbit a few months ago but I heard LOTR is a lot longer and boring(exact words of my teacher). I'm also in middle school, the reason I asked was because I wanted to make something the community would like.

badst (240)

@maxyang Yeah, well LOTR is a bit boring but the movie is good. Also I really can't think of anything, so reference Coder's post. Once you have an idea though, I could help you (aka collab)

FlaminHotValdez (695)

@pepelaugh Thnx for the idea... I think I actually have to read LOTR sometime this year in class tho.
