Replit lags a lot and barely responds
NastyPigz (0)

I cannot edit the code at all but I need the free replit base url for each repl, therefore I'll have to edit through another editer and take like 5 minutes to upload the file and wait for repl to respond, and try to run the project. All my files together in total has around ~5000 lines

Yeah, that's the problem.

You should split your code into multiple files so replit doesn't have to load so much at one time and overwhelm your computer.

@Coder100 AFAIK replit caches separate files, too, so that you don't have to load every time you switch to a file. This takes up space as well, but at least it doesn't load if you don't need to look at that file.

@Baconman321 well
the thing is

what i am assuming here is

what you don't render is much more smaller than what you do

and that what the repl caches is small enough to be negligible compared to the render.

i mean it is much slower to draw a lot of text then just store it in memory

@Coder100 I already did, but it still lags super hard and I can’t even upload file sometimes
