Why the terminal return a red number sometimes after the code? What is it means?

That number usually represents the number that the JS interpreter last dealt with, or the number that was returned by the very last function.

Or, that could be an error code, depending on the shade of red.

It basically means that an error happened AFTER it did what it could.

It's sort of like you running on a track, and all of a sudden the road breaks. You have done all you could, but you haven't finished since something happened.
