Python long input string overwriting console text

If you type in a long input string, the cursor goes back to the start of the same line and overwrites the console text.

The long inputted string is correctly saved and reproduced in the print statement below.

I am assuming this is just a bug with repl.it Python 3?

this is a repl error. You don't need to do anything. just make a new repl, or refresh. If all fails, report to bugs. nothing else to do.

Yes it does. I'ts a repl.it bug. Try this fuction instead:

def long_input(text): print(text) return input()

it works quite nicely :)
