Input not work
AnjliTrehan

I'm a teacher, using Python3 with turtle with my students. Our repl.it file freezes in console mode and is not being able to process inputs. The same files were working fine previously, including yesterday. Is there a problem with repl.it today?

Similar problem here -- a Python (with Turtle) repl that includes console input (i.e. to get drawing parameters from user) AFTER the turtle makes an initial drawing never completes any turtle drawings that follow the console input.

Sorry if I'm late to the party, I polished the code a bit.

For normal tasks such as tasks inside this code, I recommend using normal Python3 because it gives more information in case of syntax errors.

I also recommend training your students to master easier and more common phrases such as "number == '5 '" rather than start with more rarer ones like "number is '5' '".

It seems to work now. Thank you for the repairs.!

Having the same problem. Simple statement like:
m = input("enter a string")
print(m)

it freezes and never gets to print(m). I'm in python with turtle graphics. My input statements were working yesterday. Then today, it did not. Any help would be helpful.

A sample file which has input is https://repl.it/@AnjliTrehan/Dialog-demo
However we have the problem on any file that takes inputs today??

@AnjliTrehan you have a 404 there, give me a link that actually works

@HappyFakeboulde Sorry I changed the filename ... here it is:

I noticed that my program accepts input if I work under the Teacher tab ... I only am having problems running the program through MyRepl when it needs to read in user input??

@AnjliTrehan It is working this morning - thanks!

Give a link to the repl.
I don't know how to fix/work around this; for now, just try again tomorrow.

@HappyFakeboulde Thanks - I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
I put in a link to the repl file above. Wonder if there's anything else I can try in the meantime?
