I need some death messages...
DynamicSquid (5014)

So I'm making Tetris. And it's actually finished and I'm going to post it pretty soon, but all I need now are some funny death messages. Any ideas?

Best one by Monday gets 5 cycles :)

EDIT: So I just posted Tetris, and won't be accepting new ideas, but thanks to all who commented!

Fatal Error: Found raw squid in CD drive

firefish (953)

@DynamicSquid Maybe the infamous "keyboard not found press any key to continue" one from MS-DOS

DynamicSquid (5014)

@johnstev111 oohh... that one sounds cool but you have to click to continue

firefish (953)

@DynamicSquid You could put it and confuse people or try bash: exit-tetris: command not found

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@johnstev111

Maybe the infamous "keyboard not found press any key to continue" one from MS-DOS

Error reading drive A:
(A)bort, (R)etry, (I)gnore?

firefish (953)

@CodeLongAndPros That's a good one to! Considering the death screen is blue, a BSOD would be a good idea too...
EDIT: well, the death screen is now black

"Dynamic Squid" died from a atomic wedgie. (It actually happened no cap)

HahaYes (1868)

@DynamicSquid See my most recent one. We learned about that in class

"Dynamic Squid" decided to use VIM

HahaYes (1868)

@DynamicSquid You mean.... the world's best IDE ever? Installed in every linux and unix system and macOS?

DynamicSquid (5014)

@HahaYes I searched up vim and this is what I found:

With the caption:

Vim: The power tool for everyone!
See pictures of Bram's latest visit to Uganda on Google Photos.
Read the visit report on the ICCF website.

I don't think I'm looking at the right VIM...

HahaYes (1868)

@DynamicSquid You are, it is an IDE, you just looked at one part..

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes I'm working on a Vim trainer, con you think of any challenges? (Replace text, registers...) They should be medium level.

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes I’ve got that one. I’m at “hard” now. stuff like VimScript

HahaYes (1868)

@CodeLongAndPros Oh, I will give you a lot more when I have more energy tommorow morning

firefish (953)

@DynamicSquid It's the best text editor installed by default on unix systems

HahaYes (1868)

"Dynamic Squid" commited alt f2

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes All that does is open the run command interface in GNOME...

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes commited Alt-PrintScreen-o

firefish (953)

@CodeLongAndPros I think he means Alt-F4 which is... ...worse

HahaYes (1868)

"Dynamic Squid" discovered death

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes "Dynamic Squid" died until he was dead.

HahaYes (1868)

@CodeLongAndPros Am I getting popular in the community? huh

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes You just happen to have death messages that people like to fork.

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes

"Dynamic Squid" decided to use VIM

Are you making a statement?

I use Vim BTW

HahaYes (1868)

@CodeLongAndPros VIM is awesome. (Especially people like me who are too lazy to use the mouse)

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes FINALLY! Someone else who uses Vim!

DynamicSquid (5014)

@CodeLongAndPros visual studio is sill king :)

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@DynamicSquid

visual studio is sill king :)

Yeah, if you want to be trapped in Micro$oft'$ ecosystem.

DynamicSquid (5014)

@CodeLongAndPros wdym? it's great lol. Also mid checking out my [new post] https://repl.it/talk/share/I-Made-my-Own-Data-Type-C/36833()? I just released it now :)

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@DynamicSquid
If you mean Visual Studio. (The purple one), you have to have one of the top 500 supercomputers to have a good experince with it. VSCode is a little bit better (I use it for Flutter).

BTW, interesting data type...

DynamicSquid (5014)

@CodeLongAndPros supercomputer? I run it on an average laptop. but I see what you mean, vscode is a little bit lighter. also, thanks!

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@DynamicSquid
I'm a bit biased, since my only experience with VS was on a dell that shipped with Win 7, but it's also very obfuscated. All the help you need in Vim is a :h away.

DynamicSquid (5014)

@CodeLongAndPros eh, true I guess. also I like that word, obfuscated.

oh, also about flutter, can you publish an app to android/apple?

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@DynamicSquid You need a Mac for iOS, but any system can publish to Android

DynamicSquid (5014)

@CodeLongAndPros oh that's cool! have you done it before?

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@DynamicSquid No. The first time I tried to do it, it hung my system. I had to pull out Alt-sysRQ-R-E-I-S-U-O to reboot.

firefish (953)

@HahaYes I know someone who always uses VIM, so much that he installed the VIM keymaps on Visual Studio Code. VIM's great

HahaYes (1868)

@CodeLongAndPros I have hackintosh, multi booting linux, windows, macos

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes I have Ubuntu 20.04 beta with GNOME and KDE. And OpenBox.

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@johnstev111

I know someone who always uses VIM, so much that he installed the VIM keymaps on Visual Studio Code. VIM's great

Then why don't they use Vim?

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@HahaYes Until you run:

sudo rm /usr/bin/gcc /usr/lib/gcc

Screams in pain

All because I accidentally installed a cross compiler...
firefish (953)

@CodeLongAndPros Because all the work they do requires other Microsoft software (Microsoft is horrible to say the least)

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@johnstev111 Tell me about it.

I have a HyperX Alloy Elite RGB, and since it's so hard to use a cross platform framework, I can't change literally anything.

HahaYes (1868)

@CodeLongAndPros because Vim is scary for some people. I see the irony here

firefish (953)

@CodeLongAndPros I use Windows because it's hard to find computers pre-installed with Linux, but I do have a Linux virtual machine. If you are wondering what distro it is It's fedora with KDE because I personally think Ubuntu is for dummies that don't know how to use linux

CodeLongAndPros (1630)

@johnstev111 Ubuntu is for people who open the first google result and realize that they can’t switch to Manjaro without losing tons of config

firefish (953)

@CodeLongAndPros Also based on a 1 != 2 story.

HahaYes (1868)

It takes like 10 lines to do the same in Python.
