How to get text copied inside a browser emulator outside of the VM

I want to take text copied from a browser emulator and use it. How would I achieve this, since the browser is run on the VM. I thought of making a txt file and dropping the text there from the browser, but how exactly would I open the file and edit it from chromium?

So you're using a browser emulator, and want to copy and paste the text into your own computer's clipboard? My suggestion would be to set up a temporary repl on Replit, and paste from the emulator.

Oh yeah I think I'll just log into repl and paste it. Yeah, thanks!

Only problem now is that it won't start the emulator!
Any way to drain the memory?

Edit: OH NVM LOL I somehow commented out the code that runs the browser lol.

Huh I can't access repl.it... :(

What emulator are you using?

Bash and chromium.

Edit: Eh, nvm I guess I'll do it when I have access to another computer.

Oh, in a repl? Open up top and kill the process.

Top?

I don't really know bash...

It's a program (quite useful, actually) which you should be able to open with the literal command top (type into the shell). Then, once it's open, you will see the list of processes. Press "k" (the keyboard key), and enter the PID of the process to kill, press enter twice.

Oh cool
Ima try that.

And yes IK I need to know bash, I'll learn it once I get a computer of my own (to run programs).

OoOOo top is a task manager program cool!

make sure it's Linux.

You can run Bash on Windows, though Linux is best for it. If you have to use Windows, either get a VM or use Cygwin.

I know that, I just think that Linux is better. And what is a "browser emulator"?

Like this: lets devs test in different browsers; though I think Baconman is just running Chromium on Replit.

@programmeruser
why?

Does windows not support bash, or is it just not good for it?

Yeah, I'm going to dual boot the computer with linux. The only problem is I'm worried about memory. If I dual boot it, can I change how much memory linux can use in the future?

Of course, I'm thinking of getting a gaming computer, so I want to game on it... but I also want to do dev on it (I heard it's overkill >:) ). The problem is though that I don't want linux or my dev stuff to interfere with the memory used. Of course, I can always pull files from the windows OS onto the linux OS, so I think I'll just store most of my files on one OS... It's not so much as the ram I'm worried about (if you don't run linux it won't use up much ram), it's the ssd or hard drive that I don't want to have so much taken up on because I would want to download games and all. Again though, I think I should be fine.

Memory, or storage? And I think you can change it, just it's extremely fiddly, as you have to mess around with partitions. I'd suggest having partitions for each of your OS's, and a partition for your files. Just make sure that there's enough breathing room for each OS in their partitions.

Yeah.

Storage. LOL I forgot that was a word :(

but you have a computer... you can access replit

I don't have a phone or personal laptop, I won't have one until I can buy one for myself, but my school has an agreement with me that they unblocked replit for me to code on my school pc.

@DaCuteRaccoon

At the time of writing the question, I had only a school computer.
