How i can change repl type without clone or re-create?

I have already tried to fork repl and change the type, but it still comes up as Bash, I was wondering if there was a way to change it without at least re-creating or having to fork it (because there are several files, so it is quite annoying to have to upload them again).

Can't. When a repl is cloned or create,d that language you chose will always be that language. You will have to re-create the repl.

It's such a dumb bug, please go get help:

@Coder100, well, just researching about topics, I saw that the only way was to re-create. I did that, and now I finally have the correct type selected for my application. Thank you very much for your help.

Try changing the .replit file. Open a new file named .replit and set tha languages to the one of your choice. If it's empty do language = "<repl language>". Here's some more info. https://docs.replit.com/repls/dot-replit

@robowolf, i have already done this, but the Repl.it IDE does not identify the syntax and semantics of Javascript, making the syntax errors "invisible".
