How do i select multiple iterations of a word after highlighting it?

So say the word "hello" is in a code block 3 times, i highlight the first occurrence, but i went to select the next 2 occurrences because i want to replace "hello" with "hi", what's the shortcut for this? i tried ctrl+D, didn't work

I just realised, after the update, press ctrl+f then a screen will pop up at the top. Press the right-pointing arrow and you will see another box pop up, type the text you want to change it to there.(nobody is gonna read this because the question is 4 years old)

Highlight one of the hellos and then press f2.
