Why are you repeating the for loop length of the string times?

Also, why s.replace? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14198497/remove-char-at-specific-index-python

Also, what it total doing?

@a5rocks That's what i thought about "total", it's being assigned to ' ' and being used by nothing.

Also i believe he's using s.replace() to replace the third character with a space.
