Help me please
CoderSloth909 (1)

I just started following along with a how-to code video in java, but when I print stuff it only prints "Hello world!" and nothing else, do you know why it is doing this? By the way, I am a super new coder and I really need help. The video is pretty old and it is using a different website to code but I don't think that is the case. If you do end up helping me thank you so much! Also sorry if the coding is super bad... I am still working on it.

Hey! Your error is that you said
System.out.print("Hello");
you should have said....
System.out.println("Hello, World!");

no, the problem is that it is saying hello world, and not just hello

Oh. That is a error with not the code itself but the settings. The console probably has a error and is executing some messed up code somewhere. I recommend making a new project and doing the tutorial off there. @CoderSloth909

You're using System.out.print(); instead of System.out.println();.

The difference:

System.out.print();

Prints line without break. Example:

// ...
System.out.print("Hello, ");
System.out.print("I'm super cool!");
// ...

Output:
Hello, I'm super cool!

System.out.println();

Prints with line break. Example:

// ...
System.out.println("This line is continueous until...");
System.out.println("oops");
// ...

Output:

This line is continueous until...
oops
